JESSI
Jessi Piha is a native California girl. Growing up with three boys made being a tom-boy only natural. With that came the exploration of all kinds of sports: baseball, skateboarding, tennis, basketball, and eventually a turn with the high school gymnastics team. In 1992, Jessi started working in a small family-run health club and her passion for fitness exploded. Certification in a Pilates-based exercise (Body Balancing Contrology) and classic Pilates training was only the beginning. Her desire to know more about human anatomy led Jessi to complete her NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) as well as 3 years of training through the Physical Mind Institute.
She attended her first SPX Pilates class in November of 2008 and was teaching by January 2009. Jessi is passionate about having fun while staying fit, and is meticulous about form. She wants the 55 minutes her clients spend with her to be effective, yet addictive! She’s earned the nicknames "The Torturer," "The Pilates-Nazi" and "the girl that teaches boot-camp pilates.”
